We are also thrilled to have Acupuncturist Amrit Singh.
Amrit Singh has been studying and practicing acupuncture for 10 years. She began her journey by completing a Diploma of Acupuncture at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto, after which she extended her studies in Beijing, Tokyo, San Francisco, New York and London, U.K.
Her motivation to become an Acupuncturist came from her own personal health problems at a young age. Chronic pain, digestive problems, and adult acne were complications prevalent in her life and although she tried everything in the western route, Acupuncture is the modality that gave the most results. Given the successful transformation Amrit experienced personally with acupuncture it became her professional mission to make it a form of medicine that was easy to understand for the masses via educational speaking engagements and online with her entertaining Drop The NeedleBlog.
Often referred to as “The Bay St. Acupuncturist," Amrit has been helping patients in Toronto’s Financial District surpass their personal health goals and actualize the optimal versions of themselves. She enjoys working with her patients on all levels, from making lifestyle and nutritional recommendations to answering her patient’s questions during treatments. “I want my patients to feel comfortable and have an understanding of what is occurring with their body and why. I truly believe this is an important step towards better health.”
Amrit apprenticed with the internationally recognized Acupuncturist of the famous Japanese Kiiko Matsumoto style, Takamasa Tsurusaki R.Ac; diversified her training by studying Cosmetic Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture internationally, in addition to completing The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship program in the U.S. with Whitfield Reaves.
Amrit is a fully insured, Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and certified in Clean Needle Technique. She is also an Instructor teaching a number of courses on Acupuncture techniques, Cosmetic Acupuncture & Practice Management in Toronto.
In this workshop Amrit will be explaining how acupuncture works and how it can helps us ladies regulate our hormones, PMS, skin, menstrual irregularities and assist in baby making on top of all the other things our we manage on a daily!
Amrit will also be:
1) Demonstrating how pain free acupuncture really is and what happens when you come in for a treatment. Come watch someone get poked and see how thin the needles really are!
2) Showing some self-acupressure love to help move your lovely energy when you are feeling down or low on energy. This can easily be done at your desk in less than 5 minutes!
3) Demonstrating a quick facial acupressure protocol that you can do for puffy eyes, if you feel foggy headed or when you need a quick pick me after staring at the computer screen for too long!
