Fitness by Jacflash is thrilled to annouce our Women's Day Power Yoga Workshop with lululemon Toronto (@lululemonto).
This workshop will concentrate on and feature yoga instructor Kay Ghajar (@kayghajar) and Energy Tree founder Anne Matthews (@energytreeanne) who will be discussing what us as women can do at each age to care for our reproductive health. Anne will teach is how to take charge of our own fertility and will explain what our hormones are and what they do, how they affect us, what we can do to regulate them and will also be discussing period health.
Tuesday, March 5th 8-9:30pm at lululemon the attic, 318 Queen Street W. Meet downstairs at lululemon and we will walk up together.
Street parking is available on Queen Street W, Spadina Ave, and a parking lot at 189 Spadina Ave.
Yoga mats are provided for the evening by lululemon. All you need to bring is comfy clothes and a water bottle.

Kay Ghajar (@kayghajar) has been practicing yoga for 10 years. She began exploring different styles of yoga after taking courses in positive psychology, which informed on the benefits of yoga and meditation. After she faced a traumatic life event in university and failed progression through traditional counselling, she started a yoga and mindfulness practice, which began her healing process and changed her outlook on life.
Kay received her 200-hour teaching certificate at Power Yoga Canada and has completed trainings in corporate and private yoga, hands-on assisting, and yoga for children battling chronic illnesses. She is also a Level I Fascial Stretch Therapist and has received her Master's of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour where she conducted developmental neuroscience research for youth with mental illness and probiotic research for adults battling depression and anxiety. As a yoga teacher, she connects with her students in a fun and enthusiastic style that makes everyone feel welcome and accepted. Whether you are a beginner or advanced student of yoga, you will feel comfortable expressing yourself and learn about the foundation of each pose, different forms of breath work, and how to give your body what it needs in the moment.
Anne Matthews is founder of Energy Tree. Anne is also a Wife and a Mum to 4 kids and her company is all encompassing, with health, fitness and holistic wellness!
Anne's credentials include:
• Certified as a Personal Training Specialist for over 10 years by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
• She has worked as a Pro Trainer at Toronto’s Bay Street Equinox, The (former) Yorkville Club and at Vancouver’s Steve Nash Fitness World and Sports Club
• She has trained trainers as a Fitness Manager. I’ve trained Fitness Managers as a District Manager
• She also a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac)
• She owns two acupuncture clinics that focus on women’s health, fertility and pregnancy and I have completed my 4-year Diploma of Oriental Medicine (TCMP) at Pacific Rim College (in Victoria BC).
